Here’s What Shark Tank India Judges Were Doing Back In 2010

After a tremendously successful run of more than a month, the business reality television programme Shark Tank India ended on February 4, 2022. It’s nearly become a craze among the Indian audience. It’s a spinoff of the original American programme, which has been on the air since 2009 spanning 13 seasons.

The show has been a huge hit, both in terms of audience and in terms of inspiring the startup ecosystem. In the first season, which lasted 30 episodes, 67 businesses received investment totalling Rs 41.98 crore.

It is a reality programme where fresh entrepreneurs and people with startup ideas try to impress the “Sharks” in order to receive funding or investment for their company. This programme has taken off because of the creative usage of phrases like “pitches” and “Sharks,” which have piqued the interest of the viewers.

On the last day of the show, Lenskart co-founder and CEO Peyush Bansal pitched for Lenskart.com, and took the audience back to 2010 to retell the presentation he delivered to investors for his eyeglasses retail network twelve years ago. He requested Rs. 1 crore in exchange for a 1% interest in the firm. This made us curious as to what the other judges were up to in 2010. Let’s find out:
